Surf Camps
We are taking bookings for our 5 day surf camps for summer 2021. To secure bookings we are just taking a €50 booking deposit at the moment which is refundable if covid regulations prevent the booking happening. Booking early is a good idea as last summer we where fully booked. With covid restrictions we have only private rooms available. We can customize bookings if needed with extra nights/lessons.
Accommodation
Our surf camps offer accommodation in our surf lodge and self catering units in Bundoran all within walking distance to the shop and facilities. Our surf lodge has private ensuite double/twin/triple rooms and 2 bunk rooms that will suit individuals and small groups. We also have self catering options open to families or groups who want their own space that can be booked privately. Our Surf Lodge (8 bedrooms sleeps up to 24), Bunk house (4 bedroom sleeps up to 12), Surf Apartment (sleeps up to 7) and Surf Chalet (sleeps up to 6). These all have private kitchens, living areas and toilets.
Surf Lessons/Rentals
Our surf lessons are run by our ISA registered surf school and run at Tullan Strand and Rossnowalgh. Tullan Strand is a 10 minute walk from the surf lodge while Rossnowalgh is a 15 minute drive. We can provide beach transfers if needed for €10pp. All lesson prices include equipment rental for the lessons. Lesson times are generally 10am mid day and 2pm and we have lessons for Beginners and improvers. We have kids camps that are kids only surf lessons that run monday to friday but can also organisze family surf lessons where family’s surf together. Our surf rentals can be picked up at the beach between 930am-5pm. After these hours we can provide roof straps for those with transport.

We can tailor the camps to different levels. We generally take the camp lessons at 10am each morning after breakfast in the surf lodge. We can arrange a free surf in the afternoon if you want with over 60 boards to choose from. Or you can explore Bundoran and the local area. We can arrange lots of non surf excursions for people interested. We run a party BBQ every saturday.
The surf camps run all year and include the following:

Itinerary
Sunday Afternoon
Check in and relax in your accommodation.
Monday to Friday
10am :Meet your surf Instructor who will go through the plan for the week at our home base
1030am Head to the Beach to get equipment and land lesson with instructor
11am Hit the water for an hour and a half surf lesson
1230am Feedback chat/coffee apres surf
1pm Lunch back at your accommodation or perhaps in Foam the cafe beside our surf camp
In the afternoon we can organize a free surf by renting equipment or if you prefer play golf, take a SUP tour, go coasteering or just chill out.
If you want to you can check out Bundoran with the Main beach only 2 minutes walk from the Surf camp. You can check out the magnificent Rougey Walk and Tullan Strand to the North or head south and check out the natural bathing pools, west end coastal walk that lead the whole way to the Drowes River on the Leitrim/Donegal border. If you hire a bike Mullaghmore/Horse Shoe is well worth a trip.
Alternatively if you have a car Bundoran is an amazing base to check out Donegal to the North and Sligo/Leitrim to the South. There are lots of attractions all within an hour drive. Our staff will only be willing to give you suggestions
Covid Info – Surf School
We are currently not providing changing rooms or transport to and from the beach;
It is advisable to arrive with your swimsuit already on;
If you have your own wetsuit then best to arrive in your wetsuit and have dry clothes and towel in a bag – bag storage at both beaches;
We are not providing wetsuit boots and they are not needed in the water – bring your own or wear a pair of old shoes or sandals to walk to the beach;
We have hand sanitizer and tissues/bins at both locations;
All wetsuits and boots are washed in antibacterial wetsuit solution and milton after each use;
Boards are washed down with soap and water after each use;
Instructors are following official physical distancing guidelines on land and in the water;
Post surf hot drinks and biscuits (drink from flask served in disposable cups and individually wrapped biscuits)
Parents need to be on time to collect children after the session to help them get changed.
If you are displaying any Covid 19 symptoms (new cough, high temperature) or have had contact with a confirmed case please cancel your lessons and do not attend – call your GP for advice.
Surf Lodge Covid 19 Info
There are hand sanitizing stations at all entrance and exit points to the property and in common areas along with HSE Covid 19 posters – please sanitise hands every time on entry and exit.
There are tissues and pedal bins for anyone that coughs.
We are implementing a rigorous cleaning regime for all bedrooms and common areas as per Failte Ireland guidelines;
Breakfast is from 8.30am to 10am and will be based on time slots that you can book on check in;
Breakfast will be table service rather than self service;
kitchen will close after breakfast and not be available during the day/evening – if guests need fridge access for storing medicines we will facilitate this;
Tea and coffee available for free during the day in the dining room;
the layout of chairs and tables and couches has been reconfigured to facilitate physical distancing between guests;
guests will be able to use the dining room to eat take away food or drinks that they purchase from local restaurants or shops but we will not be able to provide plates/cups/bowls/cutlery – please get all this from the shop or takeaway;
sitting room and dining room closed at 11pm;
if you are doing surf lessons with us you need to meet us at the beach – we are not providing changing rooms or transport;
we have a dedicated board and suit storage area for guests who have their own equipment – please wash all equipment before storing in this area;
for check in/check out we ask that only one person from a group comes in initially and we will organise the keys and rooms etc with that one person only, who can then show the rest of the group;
on check out we will ask you to open the windows in the room and leave your keys in the door and if possible to pay your bill online pre departure to avoid too many people in the shop
