Hidden Gems Tours

A range of half day tours based around getting you an insightful and fun understanding of the of the Hidden Gems of the Northwest region. Our guides will explore the history, legends, locations and characters with you so that you get an in depth understanding behind each hidden gem. Our tours are aimed at active people so plan to be off the bus for some walking and exploring.

Tours depart every Saturday at 4pm from Bundoran. Its €30 for a 3 hour tour.

Each tour is different but below is a sample of some of the hidden gems that we visit on our tours:

Learn about the poets and patriots of the north west. Explore the stories and landscapes behind WB Yeats, Lissadell House and the fight for Irish independence.

Visit the The Glens of Leitrim. Explore Glenade Valley and learn about mysterious lake monsters and bear caves, as well as visiting the stunning Eagles Rock. Glencar Valley is home to the highest waterfall in Ireland – the Devil’s Chimney.

The Horseshoe Valley is a hauntingly beautiful spot and closely assocaited with the mythological legend of Diarmuid and Grainne. The valley is also home to an old mining settlement that produced materials for building atomic power stations.

Visit Streedagh Beach and the Armada memorial and learn about the amazing escapades of Francisco de Cuellar.

Visit the beautiful fishing village of Mullaghmore on the Wild Atlantic Way and the home of Irish big wave surfing. We might even stop for a pint in the Pier Head or have some fresh seafood in Eithnas By The Sea.

Visit secret beaches where you will see nothing but your own footprints – we might even have a BBQ and a cold beer and watch the sunset.
