One of the highlights of the year is our annual November trip to the Algarve. Its a real fun social trip with lots of waves and craic and is the perfect escape from cold dark November days in Ireland. Its open to all levels of surfers. The beginners go surfing with the local surf school in Portugal while those the more experienced surfers go with guides from Surf co. We all meet up in the evening for meals in town, BBQs and drinks.
Dates/Cost
The trip runs from the 4th to the 11th of November and we may have a second date depending on numbers 11th to 18th November (provisional). The trip costs €450 for the week. To book we need a €100 deposit. We have a transfer leaving Faro to Lagos that meets the Ryan Air Flight from Dublin on Sunday the 4th November. We can arrange other transfers on request.
This trip is open to pure beginners as well as more experienced surfers.Those with a bit of experience can join the guiding package.
Beginners
The beginners group is for those that are happy to surf on foamies in the white water. The surf lessons run from 10am to 3pm each day with lunch at the beach. The lessons will be on softboards and mostly taught in the whitewater. The local instructors will set off from the hostel each morning to the best beach on either the south/north coast. For those looking to surf on hard boards then the guiding is the best trip.

Improvers / Intermediates
Within the guiding we normally have 2 levels. Those that have done beginner lessons before and want to progress their surfing and want to progress onto hard boards, Those and a more experienced group who have been riding hardboards want want to improve their wave selection/technique etc. Don’t stress about this too much as we tend to be fluid with the groups out there.

Itinerary
Sunday 4th of November
Arrive at Faro airport and make our way to the surf hostel in Lagos
Monday- Saturday
Awake each morning and head off to the beach, normally a morning surf before we have lunch on the beach. Afternoon surf before we head back to the hostel. In the evening we arrange a group dinner in different locations which is optional and plenty of nights out for those keen.
Sunday
Wake up after our last night party and head to the airport.
