While it gets colder and darker in Ireland in November, it is still summer in Portugal. Extend your summer by going on a week long surf trip in the Algarve. Our annual trip is always one of the hightlights of the year.
We will be there from the 5th to the 12th of November and 12th to 19th November. The trip costs €395 and includes everything below.
I recommend booking flights with either RyanAir or Aerlingus to Faro, which is the closest airport. This trip is open to pure beginners as well as more experienced surfers. Those with a bit of experience can join the guiding package. The guiding package is aimed at those who already have the basics and just want to find the best waves for their standard. We tend to do some coaching through video and photo analysis.Board rental isnt included in the guiding trip.
The trip includes:
• Surf guiding/lessons/video analysis
• Breakfast and lunch
• Wetsuit/board rental on the lesson package
• Daily transfers to the beach
• Lots of craic, laughs and BBQs
To book, Bundoran Surf Co we need a €100 deposit when you RSVP
Typical day on the Algarve surf trip:
The day at the Algarve Surf School & Camp begin around 9 am with some chilled music to wake you
up. When you make your way to the lounge you will find a breakfast to revive you from the night before and prepare you for a day of surfing.
Fresh rolls from the bakery, cereals, fruit, coffee and tea for your breakfast, and ham, cheese, salad and sauces for you to make a sandwich for the beach. After breakfast, around 10am we will pack our stuff together, load the surf boards on the Jeep, and drive you down to the beach. Usually this will be Praia do Amado, but we have the independence to choose from plenty of other spots nearby if the conditions are better elsewhere.
After the morning lesson, it’s time to relax your muscles and minds from surfing. Chill out at the beach, eat your lunch, or have a nap to regather your energy for the afternoon session. In the afternoon we will all meet up for dinner/BBQ etc. and a bit of craic/banter. We will run at least 2 evenings of video analysis during the trip.
